Each candle, wax melt and concentrated room spray is created with aromatherapeutic intention and our ingredients are kept clean and simple. - Herbal
Think of the fragrance you get when rubbing an aromatic leaf between your fingers and you'll get an idea of this family of scents. They tend to smell very crisp, clean and some may even have more of a cooling affect (i.e., eucalyptus). Despite their broad range of aromatherapeutic properties, from relaxing to energizing, some may smell a bit pungent. As a result, we often pair them with floral or citrus notes to soften them.
Examples: Sage, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Rosemary
- Spicy
These scents definitely have a bit of fire to them! To help manage their warmth, we often use just a touch to "uplift" our more grounding scents.
Examples: Clove, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Cinnamon
- Earthy
These scents are used to evoke a sense of calm and grounding energy. Think of the smell of the air after it rains or the smell of walking through a forest. This term also describes our more "woodsy" and masculine scents.
Examples - Cedarwood, Teakwood, Sandalwood, Amber, Vetiver, Patchouli
- Floral
These scents tend to be soft, light and rather feminine. One common property they generally share is the ability to calm and relieve stress.
Examples - Rose, Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Lavender, Chamomile
